Blue Eyes sticks up for capitalism and free enterprise
Hits the nail on the head.
“Socialists love the planned economy. They want stasis and predictability. They encourage big business and state corporations to ease the imposition of their brand of order. But the real world isn’t like that. The real world is chaotic and unpredictable. Times change, technology moves on, industries come and go. The only way to abolish boom and bust is to abolish all change. Socialism will only make sense when we reach the end of human development. Are we there yet? No.
Socialism is to Capitalism what Idealism is to Realism. Intellectually interesting, but flawed and unworkable. I thought they worked this out in the 70’s so that we wouldn’t have to, but apparently not.
